Dot Dot Dot Is Born—A New Way To See
Same noise. Same voices. Same takes. We just connect the dots.
What should a publication in 2025 be?
Too often, it’s confined, singular in its form and scope. But culture doesn’t work that way—neither should insights. Dot Dot Dot is a new way of thinking, a new way of seeing, and most importantly, a new way of connecting the dots.
Dot Dot Dot is an insights brand that doesn’t just report on what’s happening—we shape conversations, anticipate change, and help our audience lead. We connect industries, disciplines, people, and ideas, building a bridge between what is and what’s next.
The name itself—Dot Dot Dot—carries weight. The ellipsis (“...”) symbolizes possibility, an ongoing conversation, an idea that refuses to settle. It’s a pause, an opening, an invitation to think beyond what’s in front of us.

Like history, culture isn’t linear or singular—it exists in fragments, patterns, and connections waiting to be made. And Dot Dot Dot is certainly not a fixed entity, we essentially don’t exist without the outside world. We simply observe, arrange, and leave space for interpretation—so you can connect the dots in your own way.
This perspective is reflected in our name, Dot Dot Dot, and in the work of artists we look to like Hans Eijkelboom, Hana Hoch, Arthur Jafa, Hito Steyerl, Adam Curtis, Frido Troost, Hilla and Bernd Becher, Gerhard Richter, Walker Evans, and Aby Warburg who have long explored the idea of collecting and arranging ideas, leaving room for the audience to form their own connections. We follow this tradition—not dictating meaning, but allowing it to emerge organically.

Why Now?
The creative industries are at an inflection point. We’re in a state of information overload—trends emerge and disappear in days, and everyone is trying to keep up rather than stay ahead. The space between fashion, art, music, sports, hospitality, and technology is collapsing, yet too often, each is discussed in isolation.
At the same time, authority is shifting—who gets to speak, who is truly an expert, and who defines the conversation is constantly evolving. The same voices have long dominated cultural discourse, positioning themselves as “thought leaders”, but knowledge no longer belongs to a select few.

We instead exist to provide clarity in a chaotic landscape, not just telling you what happened, but why it matters, where it’s going next, and whose voices should be part of the conversation.
What You Can Expect
This Substack is simply the starting point. A launchpad for something bigger. Over the next year or so, Dot Dot Dot will evolve beyond the inbox into a multi-media platform—new platforms, partnerships, digital activations, even physical gatherings and spaces.
Sometimes an email is the endpoint, and sometimes it’s just the beginning. We want to hear from you, our readers, and have you help shape the conversation, requiring your true participation.
To start, Dot Dot Dot will be launching with three core formats:
Pulse Check (bi-monthly) – Real-time cultural and industry analysis, connecting the dots between trends, brands, and movements.
Product Anatomy (monthly, in collaboration with LYST) – A data-driven deep-dive breakdown of the most talked-about fashion products, unpacking the strategies behind their success.
VOICE MAIL (monthly) – An interactive audio format featuring exclusive conversations with cultural leaders and which requires your participation.
But these are just the anchors. we’ll show up in unexpected ways—on billboards, in whispers, in things you didn’t realize were part of the story until the dots connect.
The Bigger Picture
Dot Dot Dot is a shape-shifting narrative. We’re both present and absent. We thrive in the in-between, embedding ourself in culture in ways that aren’t always obvious. We’re not a trend forecasting service or a traditional publication. We’re something new: a dynamic, evolving insight platform that refuses to be confined by format.

And for those who subscribed as paid members since our announcement in October—thank you. If you email us, we’ll extend your subscription for a couple of months, on us.
So, consider this your invitation. To pause. To think. To connect. To be part of something that’s always evolving.
We begin…
Super excited by the premise! Here for all of it.
Congrats!!
