Dial +1 (432) 249 3278 for i-Ds Thom Bettridge
The creative director, editor, and my old manager on everything CONTENT.
VOICE MAIL isn’t a podcast. It’s not a show. It’s just a call. Go be a fly on the wall, and listen in on an old school chat between friends, old and new.

Welcome Dot Dot Dot Content Goblins…
Earlier this week, I decided to phone Thom Bettridge (a.k.a @ThomThomClub a.k.a i-D mag’s new Editor in Chief, a.k.a dad of two, a.k.a content Mr. Miyagi, a.k.a my old manager at Highsnobiety) from a sleepy beach town in the south of France while he’s on his way to Silicon Valley for a new Apple Launch. 6AM trooper!
The last time I saw Thom he nearly hit me with his bike on route home near New York’s Dime Square. Befitting.
Thom’s resumé is basically a greatest hits of culture media: 032c, Interview Magazine, Highsnobiety, the creative brain behind SSENSE’s golden run (yes, the work we all still reference), and now Editor-in-Chief at i-D Magazine, where he’s busy retooling the wink for a new generation.
As if that wasn’t enough, he just launched a Substack called CONTENT: “ideas, rants, secrets, insights, strategies, and interviews from the frontiers of culture and marketing. It’s all one thing called content.” Which is both true and hilarious.
OKE OKE. Thom’s in motion to catch his plane. I’m on route to my beach bed. Back to holiday. Call +1 (432) 249 3278 for some serious audio pleasure. We talk about what makes good content, and what’s cover worthy nowadays. I’ll think you’ll learn a thing or two.
Ta-ta now!

Is it just me, or does the number lead to the last talk though?
